Militia Studies:
You bet your Dictionary they are! Here is one of the Modern Day Dictionay definitions of both words.
Scholastic dictionaries have changed over the years. I would bet if some old world dictionaries were researched one would find that definition terms have been modified throughout Eras of History, -possibly the most dubious changes likely occurring during the 1800’s of American History. ...I would wonder why?
“Who are the Militia? They consist now of the whole people, except for a few public officers.” -George Mason, one of the Framers of the U.S. Constitution
This section is quite extensive, broken down into separate sub topics for ease of study. Covers the history of the militia from European Medieval to Continental U.S. times establishing what the militia is for. To protect against ememies both foriegn and domestic and to ward off any tyrannical standing armies.
Patriotic Americans don't just want to hang on to such rights as they have left, but to roll back this growth of tyranny. “They have lost confidence in the integrity of our legal institutions, including courts and elections.”
The main purpose of the movement, its members claim, is deterrence.
“Every time the government oversteps its authority
it will have to consider the possibility of armed opposition.
And if it tries another Waco, it will have a minor war on its hands.”
You DO have Soveriegn Unalienable and Inalienable Rights to know how to defend yourself and your fellow Citizens (united States); “necessary to the security of a free state,” against all enemies both foriegn and domestic.
